Today we were scheduled to tour “Falling Waters”, a house that Mr. Wright designed and built for the lot where it still stands today. This house is famous for the river that was diverted to flow from levels of the house. Typical of Mr. Wright’s designs, the front of the house reveals nothing of the inside, the back is all windows overlooking the river and surrounding forest. Many years of the moist conditions brought on by the river flowing through the bottom structure of the house are beginning to tell. There are problems with decay and age, as the house was built in the 1950’s.

Surprisingly, we were allowed to take pictures inside Falling Waters
