Another rainy day as we make our way from British Columbia into the Yukon, but it was a good day for wildlife sightings, we saw some Stone Sheep, a herd of bison and even a lone black bear.
These are Stone Sheep, they love licking the tar stuff the highway guys use to cover cracks
The little guys are always so cute, but when they get bigger, you really don't want to mess with them. They are bigger than some cars!!
The one lonely bear we saw today
On our second day in Watson Lake, we all met at the Sign Forest to watch Phil hang our 2019 Alaska Caravan sign. Phil picked up a piece of wood from the local building supply to add to the top of the post that our 2015 sign was on. Since the names of the caravan participants was engraved on the back of the sign, he needed something that would just fit on the wood on the backside without hiding the names. So, we dug out one of our metal baking pans, I put our names on it and he attached it to the back of the piece of wood.

Sometimes you can't see the people for the forest!!

A few past SMART Caravan signs
Credit where credit is due, both signs were made by our very good friend, Rick VanNorman.
This tent 'room' was perfect for our potluck and travel meeting
Inside the tent
It was big enough to lay out our food and fit all 40 of us inside. Was a little bit on the warm side though
