Last night's weather forecast for today, showing strong storms right up the path of our drive to north east Texas, made us decide to hunker down and stay put in College Station for today.
We made one trip out to the store and made it home just in time for the first of the rain to hit. Then the thunderstorms hit and along came the tornadoes, one to the north and one to the south of this little college town. Nothing like being sandwiched in by heavy rains so that we can't see anything except lightening! And we are sitting in the bulls-eye of the target...an RV park!! Power went out 3 times, but came back on in a few minutes.
As I'm sitting here writing this, you probably guessed that we survived.
We were in contact with Mikahl most of the day, she was out running errands, but she survived as well. She didn't have to work tonight, so we met for dinner at a great little Italian place called Luigi's. Finally got our picture of her.
So, according to the local weather people, the weather God has given us a break for tomorrow, so we are going to attempt to make it half way to Little Rock tomorrow.
