Our
destination today was Acadia National Park, or more commonly known as Bar
Harbor (Pronounced by the locals as Baa Habaa). We have been here a few times,
as it is always a place we go when we do a Maritime Caravan, but it is always
pretty, and when away from the crowds, it is peaceful and quiet.
We
had first signed up for a Sunset Cruise around the harbor on the 4th
of July and thought we might see some fireworks in the bargain. That cruise got
cancelled so we opted for the regular fireworks cruise. Then the fireworks were
cancelled as Hurricane Elsa (Ella??) made her appearance, so we had to cancel
completely and got our money refunded. Bummer uh??
Thunder Hole, not much action today as the water was coming in at the wrong angle.
