Seneca Falls, NY, National Women's Hall of Fame and the movie "It's a Wonderful Life"

 8/1/21

We drove over to Seneca Falls today. Another pretty small town. This is where a lot of the movie “It’s A Wonderful Life” was filmed, the name of the town in the movie was ‘Bedford Falls’. There is a small museum in town dedicated to the movie, hope to visit it later.

Today we have reservations at the National Woman’s Hall of Fame, but before visiting that, we walked across the bridge used in the movie.

The Woman’s Hall of Fame was interesting. They have just recently moved into their current location, which was once a woolen mill. They are still in the process of renovating the building. The displays are interesting, informative and educational. Even if you think you know all there is to know about the struggle of Women’s Rights, there is something for you to learn here. If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend a visit.
