Phil woke up really early
this morning, and the big meanie made me get up, so we were on the road by 9.
Needless to say, I cat napped a lot today.
We crossed into Idaho and
through the Lolo Pass.
We stopped at the Visitor’s Center at the Pass and I got
my Passport book stamped for the Nez Perce National Historic Site and the
Bitterroot National Forrest.
We continued west on Hwy
12 this morning, following the Lochsa River after we entered Idaho. It was a
beautiful drive, surrounded by tree covered mountains and the river flowing
along with us. Before we made our destination of Kamiah, ID, the trees began to
thin and the mountains became hills. We are camped at the Lewis-Clark Resort
for a couple of days so we can explore the area.
